So, I got my start at gaming from my older brother, who taught me all extra lives, portal worlds, cloud levels and final castle pipe order of Super Mario Brothers before I could read. From there, we did the usual Risk and Monopoly, with me being 'involved' in Trivial Pursuit. Once my little brother came we had him smooshing goombas before he was out of diapers. I didn't get my start with rpgs and ccgs (except for begging my mom for a deck of pretty cards for this weird game called Magic) till I was in my early twenties, after stumbling into a game store in search of video games. I'd heard of this nifty game called Vampire: The Masquerade onine once, but here was my chance to play! Within two months I was in four different campaigns featuring four different systems (admittedly filling in for a previous player after they'd bailed out) and within another year was playing Magic. Now I have some of the best friends and a wonderful boyfriend (whom I actually met playing Ultimate Werewolf) all because of games, gaming, and gamers. It also lead me to volunteering for the Bodhana group after getting to play at Save Against Fear, and to actually running my own one-shots. Which you can play at the next Save btw
